Upplevelser av anomi hos personer med måttlig och lätt-måttlig afasi - en kvalitativ studie
Sammanfattning: The aim of the study was to examine the experiences of wordfindingdifficulties in 20 participants with moderate and mild-moderateaphasia after stroke. Semi-structured interviews were transcribed andanalysed with content analysis according to Graneheim and Lundman (2004).The analysis resulted in five categories: Changes in word-finding, Feelingstowards word-finding difficulties, Affecting factors, The conversationpartner’s importance in word-finding and When the words don’t come. Theresults revealed that the participants experienced difficulties in finding wordscompared to before their stroke. The experience of frustration, the desire toreturn to how it was before and the longing to improve were mentioned. Theresult showed that various factors affected the ability to find words such asstress, tiredness and noise. There was also a variation in how thecommunication partner could affect word-finding. The participants handle theword-finding difficulties in different ways, for instance through gestures. Thestudy has contributed with increased knowledge about how individualsexperiences their word-finding difficulties.
