Sammanfattning: This essay aims to examine the democratization process of Sweden. Taking the aim at investigating social engagement from the people and people movements to find explanations to the swedish democratization process. Also, the political elite and their behaviour is another subject of this work to find reasonable explanations to why Sweden managed to democratize. Looking at conditions and underlying factors, this essay tries to give a wide explanation to the Swedish case.
