Our goal was to get answers to questions as: Why did the European Union start a network by the name of Second Chance Schools? What criteria does a Second Chance School have to fullfill to be a part of the network? Why did Second Chance School start in Malmö, and how? What is the process of a student enrolling at Second Chance School in Malmö? What is the principals perception of the Second Chance School in Malmö? What perception does former students have of studying at Second Chance School? To answer these questions we interwied two former students, a counsler at the school, the school pricipal, the person in charge of education at the local government and an employee at the local training center. We also gathered information from the European Commission Website. Our findings tell us that the school is an education for unemployed adults, at a slower pace, with the aim to make it possible for them to either get employed or to continue their education career.
