Milk gets fermented by Streptococcus thermophilicus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus (lactic acid bacteria, LAB) which converts the lactose present in the milk to lactic acid.     Sammanfattning : This project tested the potential of plant based milk powders to function as an animal-based milk powder by testing them on multiple characteristics.
