    Sammanfattning : This thesis work was conducted at Luleå University of Technology in collaboration with Sandvik Rock Tools. The aim of the work was to determine the influence of carbon content on the wear performance in carburized steel in the dry contact interface of threaded connections between drill rods. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Experimental Investigation of Net-Tension Capacity in Birch Plywood Gusset Plates via Mechanical Connectors and Adhesives

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Byggteknik och design

    Författare :Ibrahim Abd Ullah Alhamo; Farid Mobin; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the mechanical behavior and performance of plywood connections withmechanical connectors and adhesive bonding to glulam. The aim is to provide insights into thecapacity and characteristics of these connections for well-founded design decisions in timberstructures. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Glued connection for TCC slabs : Experimental and Numerical investigation

    Master-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för byggteknik (BY)

    Författare :Ervin Halilovic; Seid Lotinac; [2022]
    Nyckelord :TCC connection; Composite element; Adhesive connection; Silicone Adhesive; Polyurethane Adhesive; Slip modulus; Shear stress; Cohesive elements; Traction seperation law; Mullins effect; Hysteresis;

    Sammanfattning : Timber-concrete composite (TCC) structures are becoming more popular in several industrial applications as an efficient method for optimizing the structural performance and the cost of construction as well as lowering the emissions of carbon dioxide. TCC floors are more sustainable than pure concrete floors and more resistant to vibrations and excessive deflections than pure wooden floors. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Akustisk emission vid skärande bearbetning från den adhesiva mekanismen som funktion av förslitningsutvecklingen

    M1-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Avdelningen för industriell ekonomi, industridesign och maskinteknik

    Författare :Johan Lundell; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Adhesion; Stagnation; Skärande bearbetning; Abrasion; Verktygsförslitning; Ljudmätning; Frekvens; Amplitud;

    Sammanfattning : The adhesive mechanism is one of the most significant degradation processes of the edge in metal cutting. Although knowledge about adhesion and edge buildup (BUE) has increased in recent years, there are still areas that are less explored. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate whether timber-concrete composite (TCC) floors made of a CLT-deck and casted concrete could be used as a method for increasing the use of wood as a building material. Method: The methods used in this degree project were a literature study, in which a number of laws of construction and different connector systems were studied, as well as an experiment consisting of bending tests on CLT-decks with casted concrete where SFS VB-screws were used as shear connectors.
