    Sammanfattning : In this essay I argue that the christian doctrine of deification (theosis) is a valuable foundation for teaching the Roman Catholic faith. By examining the very rich dogmatic essays by german theologian Karl Rahner on the the assumption of the Virgin Mary as well as the Immaculate conception I explore, firstly, if the doctrine seem to be present in Rahners thought and, secondly, if it seem to be useful for explaining and bringing clarity to various beliefs of the Roman Catholic church.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this essay is to investigate how the solemn rite of exorcism manifests itself within the Roman Catholic Church based on The Roman Ritual: Exorcisms and certain supplications [ECS] (1999) as well as how the rite is communicated in the document. Therefore, the method used is critical hermeneutic analysis and thenceforth the results are analyzed according to Bronislaw Malinowski’s theory of magic, science and religion (1948). LÄS MER

Through a discourse analysis of the document Unitatis Redintegratio I have studied how the Catholic Church themselves view this change and how to understand it through the catholic doctrine that new doctrines of the church cannot contradict previous doctrines.
