  1. 21. Modelling and Mechanical Analysis of Continuously Transposed Conductor

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållfasthetslära

    Författare :Haicheng Hu; [2020]
    Nyckelord :CTC; modelling; finite element analysis; epoxy coating; compliance; torsional rigidity; CTC; modellering; FEM; epoxibeläggning; komplians; böjstyvhet; vridstyvhet;

    Sammanfattning : As the CTC (transposed continuously conductor) is widely accepted as the cable used in transformers, mechanical analysis of CTC under different load cases is in need. This paper introduces a new method of creating detailed CTC models automatically in Comsol Multiphysics and the models are applied for conducting FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for different load cases of practical importance. 2. 22. Torsional Stiffness Calculation of CFRP Hybrid Chassis using Finite Element Method : Development of calculation methodology of Formula Student CFRP Chassis

    Master-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Fakulteten för hälsa, natur- och teknikvetenskap (from 2013)

    Författare :Abb Assaye; [2020]
    Nyckelord :FEA; FEM; Formula Student; FSAE; Torsion; Torsional Stiffness; Torsional Rigidity;

    Sammanfattning : Composite sandwich structures are being used in the automotive and aerospace industries at an increasing rate due to their high strength and stiffness per unit weight.  Many teams in the world’s largest engineering competition for students, Formula Student, have embraced these types of structures and are using them in their chassis with the intent of increasing the torsional stiffness per unit weight. 3. 23. Simulation of railway infrastructure with asphalt layer for tracks in Sweden

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Byggvetenskap

    Författare :Aleksandra Kuksova; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Ballasted track; bituminous mixture; bituminous sub-ballast; temperature; railway track modelling; finite element analysis. v;

    Sammanfattning : With the introduction of high-speed trains over the past few years, as well as withan increase in traffic loads and volumes, the attractiveness and competitiveness ofthe railway transport system have increased. This leads to the need to develop newcost-effective ways in railway construction, providing an increase in the life cycle ofthe railway track and reducing the need for maintenance. LÄS MER

  4. 24. FEM modelling of sound reduction index in partition CLT wall

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för byggvetenskaper; Lunds universitet/Teknisk akustik

    Författare :Adam Hultin; Erik Hörström; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Constructing buildings with wood brings many advantages, especially regarding environmental aspects, which has brought an up-rise in these types of structures. However, one of the main issues regarding wooden structures is its tendency to perform poorly acoustically in lower frequencies compared to heavier structures. LÄS MER

  5. 25. EXPERIMENTAL CHARACTERIZATION AND COMPUTATIONAL DYNAMIC MODELLING OF A VIOLIN Analysing the effects of creep and string tension

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Byggnadsmekanik; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för byggvetenskaper

    Författare :Joel Värelä; Erik Tunlid; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Violin; experimental modal analysis; modal analysis; EMA; finite element method; FEM; FE; wood; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : During the 17th and early 18th century Antonio Stradivari built around 900 violins, that still today are considered some of the best instruments ever created. The theories of how it was possible for a luthier active 300 years ago to create instruments of this quality are many, including unique wood properties and secret building techniques. LÄS MER
