  1. 11. Spatiotemporal competition patterns of Swedish roe deer and wild boar during the fawning season

    Magister-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Ecology

    Författare :Staffan Melberg; [2012]

    Sammanfattning : Abstract This study was performed on Bogesund research area, Sweden, in order to determine whether wild boar (Sus scrofa) predates on fawns of roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) and if the spatial and temporal patterns of roe deer are related to wild boar activity. 2. 12. Evaluating six crop mixes used for game fields in southwest Sweden : biomass production, fallow deer preference and species diversity

    Magister-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Ecology

    Författare :Elin Grönberg; [2011]
    Nyckelord :arthropods ; biomass production; biomass consumption; crop mix; Dama dama; fallow deer; game field; species diversity index;

    Sammanfattning : Game fields are one way to divert animals away from sensitive areas, create shelter and forage, and also to increase the biological diversity. In this study I investigated how the plant composition in six different crop mixes used for game fields affected the biomass production, biomass consumption and biological diversity at the Koberg estate in southwestern Sweden. 3. 13. Hunter demography, trends and correlates of hunting participation in Sweden

    Sammanfattning : The concerning issue of declining number of hunters in North America is also apparent in Europe and Sweden.
