1. Geophysical Data from Norrbotten, Sweden - Evidence for the Presence of a Crustal Scale Fault?
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Geovetenskap och miljöteknikSammanfattning : The method of combining multiple geophysical, geological, or geochemical datasets can reveal patterns of otherwise hidden features in the Earth’s crust. This may aid in geological mapping, locating economic mineral deposits and for general anomaly/feature detection. LÄS MER
TLD Measurements on Patients being treated with a Taylor Spatial Frame : Using Radiation from Na18F PET/CT Studies and from Naturally Occurring Radioisotopes
Master-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/FysikumSammanfattning : Background: In an ongoing study conducted at Karolinska Institutet & Karolinska University Hospital, Positron Emission Tomography (PET)/Computed Tomography (CT) scans are performed on patients with tibia fractures and deformations treated with Taylor Spatial Frames (TSFs) in order to monitor their bone remodeling progress. Each patients receive an administration of approximately 2 MBq/kg bodyweight of Na18F associated with PET scans on two sessions, six and twelve weeks after the attachment of the TSF. LÄS MER
4. Influence of depositional mobility (downwashing) on the accumulation of atmospherically supplied elements in peat cores: an experimental approach
Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskapSammanfattning : The potential influence of downwashing on atmospherically deposited elements is of rare focus compared with other geochemical processes related to peat. Downwashing may cause a rapid downward movement of atmospherically supplied elements before they bond to the peat organic substrate and thus reduce the reliability of age-depth models that rely on atmospherically supplied radioisotopes (e. 5. Three-Dimensional Quantitative Cerenkov Luminescence Imaging
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/AtomfysikSammanfattning : Cerenkov luminescence imaging (CLI) is an up-and-coming optical technique for in vivo imaging of beta-emitting radioisotopes. CLI relies on measurements of the Cerenkov radiation emitted when high-energy beta-particles travel through tissue. LÄS MER
