1. A Geophysical Survey of Northern Utö
Master-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för geologiska vetenskaperSammanfattning : A geophysical investigation on the northern part of Utö was carried out between 2020 and 2021 to asses the extent of the iron ore (BIFs) and the iron bearing sulfides that have been surveyed and mined in the past. The survey using analog field equipment combined magnetometry, gravimetry, susceptibility, leveling, density, and thin-section microscopy. LÄS MER
2. The Application of Multivariate Statistical Process Control during Industrial Hot Isostatic Pressing Sintering Processes : A Case study at Seco Tools AB
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för ekonomi, teknik, konst och samhälleSammanfattning : This Master's thesis focuses on improving the understanding and monitoring of the Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) sintering process used by Seco Tools AB to manufacture cemented carbides for cutting tools. While essential for producing cutting tools with superior hardness and toughness the HIP sintering process introduces a complex relationship between the selected process parameters and the achieved materials properties. 3. Hybrid Simulations of Solar Wind Plasma Interaction with the Lunar Reiner Gamma Magnetic Anomaly
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysikSammanfattning : The Moon has small scale regions of strong magnetic fields scattered over its surface, known as crustal fields. Coexisting with some of the strongest crustal fields are peculiar markings in the lunar soil, called lunar swirls, which are suggested to be formed by magnetosphere-like interactions between the crustal fields and the solar wind plasma. 4. Automatic Detection of Common Signal Quality Issues in MRI Data using Deep Neural Networks
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för medicinsk teknikSammanfattning : Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a commonly used non-invasive imaging technique that provides high resolution images of soft tissue. One problem with MRI is that it is sensitive to signal quality issues. The issues can arise for various reasons, for example by metal located either inside or outside of the body. LÄS MER
5. Petrography of impactites from the Dellen impact structure, Sweden
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionenSammanfattning : Identification and characterization of shock-metamorphic features in hypervelocity impact craters is important for our understanding of how shock waves interact with geologic materials and how impact craters form, which in turn is essential to our understanding of what role impact cratering played in the development of our solar system. Of particular interest are accessory minerals like apatite, which contains various volatiles that can affect the atmosphere of a body, or magnetite whose magnetic properties constitute a remote sensing indicator which allows us to study and understand the internal structures of distant bodies.
