  1. 16. Design, production and in vitro evaluation of brain shuttle scFc-scFv8D3 affinity-mutants

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för farmaci

    Författare :Jonathan Efverström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Blood-brain barrier; In-Cell BBB-trans assay; mTfR1; Transferrin receptor; scFc-scFv8D3; Blod-hjärn barriären; mTfR1; Transferrin receptorn; scFc-scFv8D3;

    Sammanfattning : The blood brain barrier (BBB) is a challenge when developing monoclonal antibodies for neurological diseases as antibodies do not cross the BBB making brain distribution challenging. An antibody construct which binds mTfR1 to pass the BBB, scFc-scFv8D3, have previously been developed. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Possibility to reuse and recycle wood waste and CDWW

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomi

    Författare :Julia Christensen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :wood; wood waste; construction and demolition wood waste; recycling; reusage;

    Sammanfattning : This essay will address if and how it is possible to reuse and recycle wood waste and CDWW (construction and demolition wood waste). The background will have a short introduction and then be divided into 3 sections. The first section addresses similarities and differences between linear vs. circular economy. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Cultivating oleaginous yeast on spent mushroom substrate and logging residues hydrolysate : an assessment of yeast growth on side product substrates from the food, agriculture, and forestry industry

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Department of Molecular Sciences

    Författare :Robin Lukic; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Lignocellulose; side products; oleaginous yeast; yeast oil; microtiter plate system; redox indicator; yeast growth; spent mushroom substrate hydrolysate; logging residues hydrolysate;

    Sammanfattning : There is an interest in finding alternatives to vegetable oils because of negative environmental impact. Many green sectors generate an abundant amount of side products that are inedible and consist in large of lignocellulose rich materials. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Identifying effects of adrenaline and dopamine binding on the beta2-adrenergic receptor structure and function using machine learning

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för teknikvetenskap (SCI)

    Författare :Joar Gunnarsson; Leon Bergner; [2023]
    Nyckelord :beta2-adrenergic receptor; GPCR; adrenaline; dopamine; Machine learning; Molecular dynamics simulation;

    Sammanfattning : The beta2-adrenergic receptor is a G-protein coupled receptor, involved in several physiological processes, which enables signaling through the cell membrane. To study the effect of dopamine and adrenaline binding on the receptor structure and function, we used machine learning methods applied to data from molecular dynamics simulations. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Production and analysis of novel disulfide variants of Subtilisin Carlsberg

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Kemi

    Författare :Anton Elfstrand; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Subtilisin Carlsberg; Disulfide; Protein Engineering; Kinetic Stability;

    Sammanfattning : Protein engineering has been used to alter the stability of proteins for several decades withmuch success, one approach being to introduce two cysteine residues that together form adisulfide bridge. The disulfide bridge can increase the Gibbs free energy of the transitionstate, thus increasing energy difference between the folded state and the unfolding transitionstate, leading to increased kinetic stability of the protein.
