    Sammanfattning : Title: Harmonic development in melodic solo lines in jazz improvisation - Analyses of seven solos on jazz guitar This paper seeks answers to the question: How can you get a clear sense of harmony and a clear harmonic course in melodic solo lines? The study is based on quantitative and qualita-tive analysis of transcriptions of seven jazz solos played by the guitarists John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Jesse Van Ruller. In the theoretical background, I make a summary of jazz-harmony, jazz-theory and different approaches and concepts of jazz improvisation. LÄS MER
