1. Micro-CT based finite element models for mechanical strength assessment of glass ceramic scaffolds obtained through the robocasting technique
Master-uppsats, KTH/HållfasthetsläraSammanfattning : In this thesis, micro computed tomography (μ−CT) scans of a bio-glass scaffold produced by the robocasting technique was used to create finite element method (FEM) models with the purpose of determining its mechanical strength. Prior to this, a Matlab script was used to create several simplified geometries of the scaffold in an effort to determine the importance of scaffold design parameters (such as the fiber compenetration between two adjacent printing planes) on the strength of the scaffold. 2. Sensors for intelligent and reliable components
Magister-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : One way to tackle the climate change society is facing today is through the change to renewable energy sources, such as wind power. Today, a trend when it comes to technology is that products are evolving into becoming more cyber-physical systems (CPS) by integrating functions realized with mechanics, control and communication. 3.
4. Crack propagation calculations in non-elastic metals
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Material- och solidmekanikSammanfattning : It is important to know the lifespan of a component, thus services can be planed. At Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB (SIT AB) develop and produce gas and steam turbines, the turbines are heavily strained by thermal and centrifugal forces during their life span which lead to cracking. 5. A digital image correlation method for detection of fatigue cracks in non-load carrying T-joints
Master-uppsats, KTH/LättkonstruktionerSammanfattning : In dynamical loaded welded structures fatigue life is often a limiting factor. Common practise is to reduce nominal stress by increased material thickness which leads to oversized, heavy structures. Those practises are replaced by improvement of production and designingtechniques to utilize better properties of high strength steels. LÄS MER
