1. Application of Fourier Transforms to time-resolved ambient pressure spectroscopy operando studies of CO oxidation over Pt(111)
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/SynkrotronljusfysikSammanfattning : The study of heterogeneous catalysis has important implications in increasing the efficiency of industrial processes and in reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases from sources such as automobiles. A reaction with high industrial relevance is the oxidation of CO on noble metal catalysts. LÄS MER
2. Exploring the effects of pressure on the magnetic properties of quasi-low dimensional quantum magnets via thermodynamic measurements
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Four model solid state compounds were used to experimentally investigate the effects of pressure on the interactions in one- and two-dimensional Heisenberg magnetic models. BaCuSi2O6, BaCu2V2O8, SrCuO2 and CuGeO3 were successfully synthesized via solid-state reactions and characterized via x-ray diffraction. LÄS MER
3. Structural analysis of HZO thin film and electrode using X-ray diffraction
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Since its discovery in 2011, the ferroelectricity of thin films based on HfO2 has been studied intensively. In particular, thin films with a 1:1 ratio of HfO2 and ZrO2 (HZO) has been of great interest. The ferroelectricity arises from a non-centrosymmetric orthorhombic (o) phase of HZO whose prevalence is dependent on the processing conditions. LÄS MER
4. Prospects for a Free Electron Laser at the FemtoMAX Beamline
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : A Free Electron Laser (FEL), is a device that generates extremely coherent and brilliant radiation using electrons accelerated to relativistic velocities in a particle accelerator. The process utilises similar equipment to what is used at a synchrotron source like MAX IV, but in addition there is an interaction between the relativistic electron beam and the generated radiation to achieve an exponential growth in radiation intensity. 5. The active phase of Pt(110) during catalytic CO oxidation
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : CO oxidation is an important topic in heterogeneous catalysis, due to its role in industrial processes such as pollution reduction in the auto industry, and ethanol or other fuel production. In the automotive catalytic converters CO oxidation reduces the poisonous CO to CO2 by reacting with O2. LÄS MER
