  1. 1. Phasing out peat from a co-fired 50 MWth circulating fluidized bed boiler : A theoretical sulfation potential study

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för tillämpad fysik och elektronik

    Författare :Axel Bergstrand; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Peat; corrosion; fuel mixture; CFB; circulating fluidized bed; S; alkali chlorides; Sulfur; additives; combustion; fuel design; alkali related corrosion;

    Sammanfattning : The chemical company Perstorp AB has a 50 MWth circulating fluidized bed to supply the production plant with process steam. The fuel mixture used shows a large variation with about 20 different fuel fractions that can be divided into the categories, residue wood chips, sludge, forest fuel, animal waste, industrial residues, and peat. 2. 2. Thermodynamic Equilibrium Prediction of Corrosion Tendency in Fluidized-Bed Combustion of Solid Waste

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomi

    Författare :Aida Hosseinian; [2017]
    Nyckelord :Waste to Energy; Fluidized Bed Boiler; Combustion; Corrosion; Factsage; Chemical Fractionation; Waste-derived Fuel;

    Sammanfattning : Global warming and air pollution are two issues of greatest concerns to human life in recent years. Environmental concerns and econimal/political independency of fossil fuels have been the driving force of developing interest in renewable resources of energy for many countries. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Application of the ChlorOut concept in a waste wood fired CFB boiler

    L3-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Energy and Technology

    Författare :Mårten Carlberg; [2008]
    Nyckelord :superheater; corrosion; alkali; chlorides; ammonium; sulphate; chlorOut; IACM; potassium; KCl; bio fuels; sulphur;

    Sammanfattning : Boilers converting from sulphur rich fossil fuels to alkali and chlorine rich bio fuels often experience an increased super heater corrosion. This is partly due to the increased formation of KCl during combustion of bio fuels. The problem could, for instance, be handled with a sulphur containing additive to the fuel or to the flue gases.
