    Sammanfattning : Sixteen samples from 8 locations within and surrounding the Björkdal mine area in northern Sweden were chosen in order to reevaluate and characterize previous interpretations of the lithology and hydrothermal alteration. Geochemical analysis by ICP-MS was made in order to chemically classify the lithology of the area and petrological studies were made by study of thin sections and core logging. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Gruvavfall, i form av gråberg, från Kiirunavaara-gruvan i Kiruna, norra Sverige undersöktes för att se om surt lakvatten kan bildas från gråberget och om detta kan ha en påverkan på hur mycket kväve som kan lakas ut från gråberget. För detta ändamål gjordes dels en mineralogisk undersökning av gråberget, med siktning, röntgendiffraktion (XRD) och grundämnesanalys och dels laborativa skakförsök. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The Bjursås ore field is located within the Bergslagen domain of central Sweden just northwest of the town of Falun. The field hosts small scale mines such as the 17th century Floberg copper mine and has been the focus of mineral exploration on several occasions during the 20th and early 21th century, with no major economic deposits being uncovered as of yet.     Sammanfattning : During the Devonian, 377 Ma ago, the Earth was impacted by a large celestial body, striking ground in the Siljan area in Dalarna, Sweden. The impact created what is today the largest confirmed impact structure in western Europe. Since its formation, the structure has however been heavily eroded, leaving no trace of the original crater.
