  1. 1. Investigating self-discharge in a graphite dual-ion cell using in-situ Raman spectroscopy.

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Strukturkemi

    Författare :Ismail Yussuf Hassan; [2023]
    Nyckelord :graphite; dual-ion battery; parasitic reaction; cathode-electrolyte interface; anion intercalation; concentrated electrolyte; self-discharge; Raman spectroscopy;

    Sammanfattning : Anion intercalation in the graphite positive electrode of a dual-ion battery requires high potential (> 4.3 V vs Li+/Li), which aggravates parasitic reactions involving electrolyte decomposition and Al corrosion, manifesting in poor coulombic efficiency, cycle life, and quick self-discharge. 2. 2. Tuning electrolyte-electrode interphases for low-temperature Li-ion batteries

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Strukturkemi

    Författare :Robin Xu; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Li-ion batteries; Low temperature;

    Sammanfattning : Lithium ion batteries (LIBs) are crucial for modern electronics and electric vehicles (EV). However,their electrochemical performance is facing challenges at low temperatures (e.g ≤ 0 °C) due to reducedLi+ kinetics and increased charge-transfer resistance. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Phase field modelling of LLZO/LCO cathode-electrolyte interfaces in solid state batteries

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Strukturkemi

    Författare :Michele Riva; [2018]
    Nyckelord :LLZO; LCO; phase; field; phase-field; phasefield; solid; state; solid-state; solidstate; battery; batteries; sintering; model; modelling;

    Sammanfattning : This work describes two phase field models for the simulation of the interface evolution between a LiCoO2 cathode (LCO) and a Li7La3Zr2O12 solid electrolyte (LLZO) in a Li-metal/LLZO/LCO battery during high temperature sintering. In these conditions atomic species tend to diffuse into the opposing material, creating an intermediate layer of mixed composition which resists the movement of lithium ions. LÄS MER
