  1. 1. Co-Simulation Development for Improved Cavitation Predictions in Oil-Hydraulics Systems : An investigation into the cavitating flow behavior of repetitive water hammers.

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Mekanisk värmeteori och strömningslära

    Författare :Thisal Mandula Sugathapala; Twan Bakker; Rahul Gudur Suresh; Aryan Delir; [2022]
    Nyckelord :co-simulation; water hammer; cavitation;

    Sammanfattning : Numerical modeling of cavitation using computational software is a highly pursued topic of research due to its impact in different industrial sectors. While some industrial applications such as wastewater treatment and mineral processing are known to advantageously use this phenomena, it remains an unwanted process in others where it is known to induce vibration, reduce performance and cause structural damage. 2. 2. Haveri och åtgärdsanalys av MC-pump : Haverianalys av ett återkommande problem för en medium-consistency-pump samt åtgärdsanalys för att upphöra problematiken.

    M1-uppsats, Karlstads universitet

    Författare :Fabian Padilla Prado; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Maskinteknik; Haverianalys; Åtgärdsanalys; Pump; Pumpteknik; Återbetalningskalkyl;

    Sammanfattning : This report investigates a recurring problem on a Kamyr MCP 25-15, which is located in the bleaching plant in a paper mill in Värmland. The MC-Pump Kamyr 25-15 has in the last two years crashed and caused downtime in pulp production. Causing large costs in repairs, personnel and in lost pulp production. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Fluid/Material Coupled Numerical Analysis of Single Bubble Collapse Near a Pit on a Wall

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Strömningsmekanik och Teknisk Akustik

    Författare :Daiki Makii; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Bubble Dynamics; Cavitation Erosion; Numerical Analysis; Fluid Material Coupled Numerical Method; Homogeneous Model; Elastic Body Material; Erosion Pit;

    Sammanfattning : In order to elucidate the progression mechanism of cavitation erosion, the behaviors of a single cavitation bubble collapse near a pit on a wall and both the resulting pressure wave in fluid and stress wave in material are investigated in detail. To find out the mechanism of cavitation erosion, many experimental studies on the bubble collapse behavior near a flat rigid wall and the resulting material damage have been conducted so far. 4. 4. Techniques to inject pulsating momentum

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Strömningslära och experimentell mekanik

    Författare :Jelle Kranenbarg; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Hydro power; Rotating Vortex Rope; Flow control; Fluidic actuator; Synthetic jet actuator; Piston actuator; CFD;

    Sammanfattning : Hydro power plants are an essential part of the infrastructure in Sweden as they stand for a large amount of the produced electricity and are used to regulate supply and demand on the electricity grid. Other renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power, have become more popular as they contribute to a fossil free society. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Vibration analysis for predictive maintenance of a rotary pump. : Optimal accelerometer configuration based on vibration analysis for cavitation detection of a bi-winged positive displacement pump.

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Gustav Osswald; [2019]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Predictive maintenance based on condition monitoring uses sensor and system data to prevent damage, in advance to a failure occurring, allowing for a service to be performed at an optimal position in time. Condition based predictive maintenance estimates time of system failure based on a priori information, which has shown to be much more cost effective than traditional maintenance methods. LÄS MER
