  1. 1. The Sound of Skepticism Analyzing Climate Change Denial in Swedish Podcasts and YouTube Channels

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / / Institutionen för sociologi och arbetsvetenskap

    Författare :Victoria Vallström; [2024-02-14]
    Nyckelord :denialism; climate skepticism; social movements; countermovements; digital media; digital data; computational grounded theory; topic modeling; computational text analysis;

    Sammanfattning : This study explores Sweden's climate change denial by analyzing the spoken-word discourse of its countermovement, focusing on digital media content from Swedish parliament member Elsa Widding with an aim to provide empirical insights into the discourse of Sweden's Climate Change Countermovement (CCCM). Questions guiding this study are: What are the most prevalent topics and themes related to climate change denial and skepticism? How do they align with established categories of climate change denial, shaping the overall narrative? What mobilizing ideas and meanings are present, how are they shaped, and how do they contribute to the movement's goals? The material consists of Elsa Widding's complete audio-based "movement texts'' from 2019-2023, including YouTube content, podcasts, and appearances on Riks, totaling over 2000 minutes of audio transcribed into text via AI technology. 2. 2. Klusteranalys : Tillämpning av agglomerativ hierarkisk och k-means klustring för att hitta bra kluster bland fotbollsspelare baserat på spelarstatistik.

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Statistiska institutionen

    Författare :Sacko Balbas; Arvid Törnquist; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Cluster analysis; hierarchical clustering; k-means clustering; La Liga; football; algorithm; machine learning.;

    Sammanfattning : This work is about how the multivariate analysis tool cluster analysis can be appliedto find meaningfull groups of players based on player statistics. The aim of the work isan attempt to find good clusters among players within the Spanish top football divisionLa Liga for the 2022-2023 season. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Undersökning av metoder för automatiserad kontinuerlig datautvinning av IoT-data för att utvinna funktioner

    M1-uppsats, KTH/Hälsoinformatik och logistik

    Författare :Erik Järte; [2024]
    Nyckelord :IoT; user data; machine learning; visualization; data analysis; IoT; användardata; maskininlärning; visualisering; dataanalys;

    Sammanfattning : Företaget Cake har idag inte en komplett bild över hur dess fordon används. Därför samlar företaget idag upp användardata i en förhoppning om att kunna analysera denna data för att få insikter över hur dess produkter används och vad de ska satsa på i framtiden. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Regulatory Driven Clustering of Single-Cell Data; Clustering of single-cell RNA sequencing from glioblastoma with a novel mathematical method

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för matematiska vetenskaper

    Författare :Kári Kristjánsson; [2023-08-08]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide. Single-cell RNA sequencing has arisen as an important method to explore the gene expression of biological cells, including cancer cells. In this study, we deployed a computational algorithm known as ScRegClust to dissect single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) data from brain tumors. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Fixation and Machine Learning A new method for measuring fixation in internet users using machine learning and natural language processing

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Författare :Katarina Rivera Ahlin; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Fixation — the state of mind where an individual is intensely fixated on one individual, activity or idea —  can be an early warning sign of an individual that will later go on to commit violent acts. This paper details the development of a method that measures fixation from texts written on internet forums, a method that could (when expanded) be a part of threat assessment and prevention of violence.
