6. Evaluation of whole-body bone scans performed using a gamma camera with Cadmium Zinc Telluride detector
Master-uppsats,Sammanfattning : The bone scan is a common nuclear medicine imaging procedure that is mainly used for evaluating several oncological patient groups. A radioactive tracer, 99mTc -labelled diphosphonate, is injected intravenously and accumulates in the skeleton. The distribution of the tracer in the body is measured with a gamma camera 3 hours post-injection. LÄS MER
7. Black Hole Dynamics in Stellar Clusters
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : Star clusters can harbour many exotic objects, including black holes (BHs), X-ray binaries and blue straggler stars. In dense stellar environments like globular clusters (GCs), two-body relaxation drives their dynamical evolution, where gravitational interactions between stars strive to equalize their kinetic energy in the cluster. 8. Karaktärisering av spatial upplösning i röntgenmikroskopi
Kandidat-uppsats, Mittuniversitetet/Institutionen för elektronikkonstruktionSammanfattning : X-ray imaging was a very important detection that is used in many useful functionalities as in healthcare. It would be powerful and facilitate several functions if we could come up with a method that gives a better resolution when doing X-ray imaging. LÄS MER
9. Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) and Bayesian Inference for Gravitational Waves
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) is a space borne gravitational wave detec- tor set to launch in 2034, with the objective of detecting and studying the Gravitational Waves (GWs) of our universe. So far, ground-based detectors such as the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) have been successful in detecting GWs, but the limitations of ground based detectors is what makes LISA so special. 10. Optical characterisation of AAO/CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocomposites
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Direct bandgap metal lead halide perovskites offer promising optoelectronic properties desirable in a wide range of applications including photodetection. However, the incomplete and poor understanding of the photophysical processes taking place in these materials, along with their poor stability, is the bottleneck for optimisation and further development of metal halide perovskite devices.
