1. Ecological risk assessment of pesticide use in rice farming in the Mekong Delta , Vietnam
Magister-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografiSammanfattning : Pesticide use in rice farming is a common practice in the Mekong Delta and poses ecological risks to aquatic organisms, the environment, and human health. This study focused on the ecological risk assessment of pesticide use in rice farming using the PRIMET model as a decision support tool to evaluate the risks of pesticide exposure, ecotoxicity, and risk characterization, as well as employing the species sensitivity distribution (SSD) assessment model to calculate the potentially affected fraction (PAF) of species based on the computed predicted environmental concentrations (PECs) from PRIMET. 2. The ecotoxicity effect of metronidazole on Raphidocelis subcapitata
Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för biovetenskapSammanfattning : Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata is a sickle-shaped freshwater green microalga that is normally found in unicellular form. It is the best known and most frequently used species of ecotoxicological bioindicator because of its high growth rate and sensitivity to toxicants. LÄS MER
3. Life Cycle Assessment of a small scale, solar driven HVR water purification system
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : Water purification systems have made access to drinking water easier by treating water sources which previously could not be used for drinking. Such systems however require energy and materials to build and operate which means they have environmental impacts. LÄS MER
4. Life Cycle Assessment of a 3D printer : A comparative and attributional life cycle assessment of 3D printer
Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Three-dimensional (3D) bio printing offers a wide range of applications, including the placement, design, and patterning of biological components such as living cells, nucleic acids, tissues, and many more. Bioprinting has seen great growth and breakthroughs in recent years, particularly in 3D printing. LÄS MER
5. Burn or Return? Evaluating Deposit Return Systems for Plastic Packaging Waste in Sweden : A Comparative Life Cycle Assessment
Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Plastics have become an integral part of modern life and global use is expected to grow almost two- fold until 2040. 40% of European demand for plastic raw materials is driven by the packaging industry and being a cheap material, focus on waste management has historically been neglected.
