  1. 1. CCU in Scandinavia: an uncertainty analysis regarding the future state of captured carbon in the region.

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för energivetenskaper

    Författare :Marta Gebellí Carrasco; William Melander; [2023]
    Nyckelord :CCU; E-kerosene; Precast concrete; CO2 utilization; Scandinavian region; Defossilization; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The urgent need to mitigate climate change has prompted researchers to investigate novel strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. One promising technology that might ease the way for sustainable and circular economies is carbon capture and utilization (CCU), which not only captures CO2 emissions but also uses them to produce valuable products. 2. 2. Price policy estimation for Demand Response of heat-pump-based loads

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Carlos Eduardo Gil Simancas; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Differential Evolution; Electricity Grids; Flexibility Services; Heat-pumps; Heterogeneous Loads; Implicit Demand Response; Optimization; Differentiell utveckling; elnät; flexibilitetstjänster; heterogena belastningar; implicit efterfrågesvar; optimering; värmepump;

    Sammanfattning : The electricity grids have become a key player in the society. An increased usage of electricity is both a result from the more electrified society, but also as a main solver in reaching the climate goals by reducing emissions. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Sizing and dispatch optimization for PV BESS systems in specific markets

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Natalia Triunfo; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The consistent rise in electricity demand, coupled with the degradation of our planet's resources, has driven the growth of renewable energy. Various strategies are being implemented to facilitate the transition to renewable sources, encompassing initiatives such as increasing transmission lines, developing energy storage technologies, or combining different renewable energies. 4. 4. On Modelling Ancillary Services Markets: A Time Series Approach

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Författare :Erik Murray; [2022]
    Nyckelord :ARIMA; SARIMA; GARCH; load balancing; ancillary services; electrical grids; FCR-D; ARIMA; SARIMA; GARCH; lastbalans; stödtjänster; kraftnät; FCR-D 2;

    Sammanfattning : So-called ancillary services (AS) have always been critically important for the functioning of an electrical grid, and are becoming even more so with the advent of renewable energy sources. Ancillary services are traded on open markets, and trading on these markets is arguably even more difficult to model than on traditional markets. LÄS MER

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Sidharth Kapoor; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Melting of Ice; Numerical modeling; Transient conjugate heat transfer; Transient analysis; CFD; Switch heating; Heat pumps in Railways; Issmältning; Numerisk modellering; Transient värmeöverföring; Transientanalys; CFD; Värmepumpar i järnvägar;

    Sammanfattning : Trafikverket operates about 12000 Switches and crossings (SnCs) of which 6800 are equipped with an electrical heating system of 10−30kW power to keep SnCs functional throughout the winters by keeping them free of Snow/Ice. The energy consumption is approximately 200−130GWh/year costing approximately 10−15 million Euros annually. LÄS MER
