  1. 1. Juice/JDC ion measurement perturbations caused by spacecraft charging in the solar wind and Earth’s magnetosheath

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för fysik och astronomi

    Författare :Derek van Winden; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Juice; Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer; JDC; Jovian plasma Dynamics and Composition analyzer; Particle Environment Package; PEP; Jupiter; Ganymede; Callisto; Europa; solar wind; magnetosheath; spacecraft charging; Spacecraft Plasma Interaction Software; SPIS; charging; plasma; measurement perturbations; perturbation; distortion; particle detector; Institutet för Rymdfysik; IRF; Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies; DIAS; European Space Agency; ESA;

    Sammanfattning :  In July 2031, a new chapter in the exploration of the Jovian system will begin with the arrival of the Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (Juice) at Jupiter. Launched on April 14 2024 as part of ESA’s Cosmic Vision programme, the mission aims to study Jupiter and its icy Galilean moons Callisto, Europa, and Ganymede. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Power Reconstruction Uncertainties in European Pressurized Reactor Impact of Partial. Unavailability of Sensors

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Fysik

    Författare :Matthieu Causse; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This study is part of a theme related to the physical tests performed on the core of nuclear reactors and particularly the EPR, a new French reactor under construction on the Flamanville site. The peaking factors of this reactor are continuously monitored by an instrumentation located both inside (collectrons) and outside (external fission chambers) the core. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Spiking Reinforcement Learning for Robust Robot Control Under Varying Operating Conditions

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Philipp Mondorf; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Over the last few years, deep reinforcement learning (RL) has gained increasing popularity for its successful application to a variety of complex control and decision-making tasks. As the demand for deep RL algorithms deployed in challenging real-world environments grows, their robustness towards uncertainty, disturbances and perturbations of the environment becomes more and more important. 4. 4. Estimation of Relative Seismic Velocity Changes Around Katla Volcano, Using Coda in Ambient Seismic Noise

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Frida Jonsdottir; [2018]
    Nyckelord :Katla volcano; Iceland; ambient seismic noise; coda waves; relative velocity variations; Katla vulkan; Island; omgivande seismiskt brus; codavågor; relativa hastighetsvariationer;

    Sammanfattning : Relative seismic velocity variations in the Earth’s crust can be estimated by using ambient seismic noise records from a pair of stations. Velocity variations can be caused by stress perturbations in the subsurface. Therefore, information on stress changes in the crust can possibly be retrieved from measured velocity variations in the medium. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Stereo Camera Calibration Accuracy in Real-time Car Angles Estimation for Vision Driver Assistance and Autonomous Driving

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysik

    Författare :Björn Algers; [2018]
    Nyckelord :Stereo camera; camera calibration; pnp-problem; laser metrology; Monte Carlo simulations; uncertainty estimation; camera pose estimation; measurement system; von-mises simulations; circular statistics;

    Sammanfattning : The automotive safety company Veoneer are producers of high end driver visual assistance systems, but the knowledge about the absolute accuracy of their dynamic calibration algorithms that estimate the vehicle’s orientation is limited. In this thesis, a novel measurement system is proposed to be used in gathering reference data of a vehicle’s orientation as it is in motion, more specifically the pitch and roll angle of the vehicle.
