  1. 1. Hur påverkas fladdermöss av bytet till LED från traditionella ljuskällor? : En jämförelse mellan olika ljuskällors påverkan på fyra arter av fladdermöss i Karlstads kommun

    Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Fakulteten för hälsa, natur- och teknikvetenskap (from 2013)

    Författare :Jennifer Lehikoinen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Chiroptera; bats; LED; light pollution; artificial lighting; ALAN; Chiroptera; fladdermöss; LED; ljusföroreningar; artificiell belysning;

    Sammanfattning : Ljusföroreningar är ett stort framväxande problem och då fladdermöss oftast är nattaktiva erfaras de ingå i den taxa som påverkas mest. LED-belysning blir allt vanligare i gatubelysning och utstrålar bland annat inget UV-ljus jämfört med traditionella ljuskällor som utstrålar UV-ljus och därmed förändrar insekters- och potentiellt fladdermössens beteende. 2. 2. Non-naivety in a long-lived ungulate : learning effects of shooting moose calves?

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies

    Författare :Lukas Graf; [2021]
    Nyckelord :moose; Alces alces; integrated step selection function; habitat selection; anti-predator behavior;

    Sammanfattning : Habitat selection and movement are considered important factors for survival of game species when they are hunted by humans. To reduce their risk of predation, animals can adapt their behavior to their most abundant predator over time through experience. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Habitat Preference and Activity Pattern of Wels Catfish (Silurus glanis) at its Northernmost Distribution Area.

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologi

    Författare :Niklas Lindell; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Wels catfish; Silurus glanis; Conservation; Acoustic telemetry; Habitat preferences; Sweden; Activity pattern; Animal movemen;

    Sammanfattning : Knowledge of Wels Catfish (Silurus glanis) at its northernmost distribution area is limited on even basic behavioral characteristics, such as habitat preferences and activity patterns. It has thus proven difficult to aid the species in any predictable way. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Activity patterns of large carnivores in a fenced conservation area in Laikipia District, Kenya

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Environment and Health

    Författare :Evelina Augustsson; [2016]
    Nyckelord :spotted hyena; African lion; activity patterns; movement ecology; conservation management; Crocuta crocuta; Panthera leo;

    Sammanfattning : Large carnivores are sensitive to land-use changes and in African rangelands they have suffered seriously from an increased demand for land for agriculture and husbandry during the last decades. Mammalian carnivores are particularly exposed as they can also attack livestock, and are therefore frequently killed by farmers or wildlife managers. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : James Joyce's Finnegans Wake is known as one of the most difficult texts in all of literature. A one-to-one relationship, however, between a decoding reader and a presenting author is something Finnegans Wake does not incorporate in any traditional sense. LÄS MER
