  1. 6. Development and Validation of Yeast Biosensors for Signaling Pathways

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Teknisk mikrobiologi; Lunds universitet/Bioteknik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Felipe Gonzalo Tueros Farfan; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Xylose; yeast; signaling; Snf3 Rgt2; Snf1 Mig1; cAMP PKA; flow cytometry; high-throughput; GFP; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Efficient bioconversion of the pentose xylose is vital for the development of competent lignocellulose biorefineries. Although many proper attempts of metabolic engineering for recombinant xylose utilization have been made in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, growth on xylose is still far from being optimal. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Potential för odling av energiskog i Europas klimatzoner : En modelleringsstudie av hydrologiska konsekvenser vid introduktion av energiskog över stora arealer

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Industriell ekologi

    Författare :Jenny Svensson; [2013]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : De ökade globala utsläppen är ett resultat av storskalig användning av fossila bränslen som måste minska för att få till stånd en hållbar energianvändning. Åtgärder som energieffektivisering och en omställning från fossila bränslen till förnyelsebara bränslen är därför nödvändig. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Frost hardiness of some New Zealand shrubs

    L3-uppsats, SLU/Horticulture

    Författare :Sture Bengtsson; [2007]
    Nyckelord :frost; frost hardiness; frost resistance; freezing tolerance; freezing resistance; winter hardiness; cold hardiness; freeze test; frost injury; frost injury assessment; cold acclimation; new zealand shrubs; new zealand flora; plant stress physiology; electrolyte leakage; index of injury; LT50; visual injury assessment; olearia; coprosma; podocarpus; buxus; taxus;

    Sammanfattning : Frost resistances, LT50, were decided for stems and leaves of several New Zealand woody plants belonging to Olearia (Asteraceae), Coprosma (Rubiaceae) and Podocarpus (Podocarpaceae). That was part of the aims, which included trying to find species potentially winter hardy in southern coastal Sweden and study methods for frost hardiness assessment. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Transcriptomes of Populus lines modified in Pectin methylesterase expression reveal activation of oxidative stress signaling pathways

    L3-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Genetics and Plant Physiology

    Författare :David Öhman; [2006]
    Nyckelord :Populus spp.; tyloses; wood formation; callose; oligogalacturonic acid; oxidative stress signaling pathways; pectin methylesterase; microarray; peroxidase activity; H2O2;

    Sammanfattning : Pectin methylesterases (PMEs) catalyze the demethylesterification of cell wall polygalacturonans, and this is thought to play important roles in cell wall extensibility and intercellular adhesion. In addition, PMEs influence many physiological processes, such as stem elongation, root development, fertilization, fruit softening, and xylogenesis. LÄS MER
