1. Genetisk variation hos lantrashöns : skillnader inom svenska lantraser och europeiska lantraser
Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Breeding and GeneticsSammanfattning : Detta arbete undersöker hur den genetiska variationen ser ut hos lantrashöns i Sverige och några europeiska länder. 2. Celltalet i mjölk hos svenska mjölkgetter
4. Causes of variation in litter size in Swedish piglet production
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Breeding and GeneticsSammanfattning : Litter size is influenced by a number of different factors including parity number and age at first mating as well as genetic potential and environmental factors such as management and feeding. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of age at first farrowing, lactation period and weaning to service interval on subsequent litter size, as well as to obtain descriptive statistics on the variation in litter size over the last few years. 5. A porcine type 1 Diabetes Mellitus model, for non-invasive in vivo imaging of the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor in the pancreas, using [68Ga]Ga-DO3A-VS-Cys40-conjugated synthetic exendin-4 in PET-CT
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Clinical SciencesSammanfattning : Diabetes mellitus is a rising epidemic throughout the world and there is currently great interest in quantifying the beta-cell mass (BCM) in vivo non-invasively. In the present experiment, the feasibility of in vivo imaging of the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) in beta-cells was examined, using the positron emission tomography (PET) tracer [68Ga]Ga-DO3A-VS-Cys40-exendin-4 as a marker, in native pancreatic beta-cells of a porcine diabetic animal model and healthy controls.
