Socialarbetares perspektiv på ungdomskriminalitet i Sverige : En kvalitativ studie om Socialarbetarnas perspektiv på risk- och skyddsfaktorer samt deras upplevelse av socialtjänstens insatser mot ungdomskriminalitet

Sammanfattning: Previous research has shown that juvenile delinquency is a major social problem today. It is a problem that can ruin and jeopardize the youth and their future. Instead of studying, they commit criminal acts and ruin their lives and potentially their families lives as well. Therefore prevention is a very important part of preventing young children from committing criminal acts. This work deals with social workers' perspectives on juvenile delinquency. What risk and protective factors there are and how they experience the social services' efforts against juvenile delinquency. Are the interventions effective? or counterproductive? The method for this work is qualitative and consists of six interviews with six different social workers from different organizations. It is interesting to find out the perspective of social workers on this problem. Because you often hear politicians' and criminologists' perspectives on this, but rarely social workers' perspectives. The theory that we applied to this work is the labeling theory as it focuses on the individual. The results of this study showed that a good attachment to the parents, a good schooling and a leisure time with adult supervision are very important protective factors against juvenile delinquency. Having an adult in your surroundings that the young people look up to is a great protective factor. The risk factors turned out to be that the adolescent does not have a good relationship with the parents or that there is a bad environment at home. Poor schooling and leisure time without adult supervision showed that young people are at risk at this stage. To solve this problem in the best possible way, collaboration with several actors in society is the best solution as juvenile delinquency is a complex phenomenon.
