Dom står ju för rätt och fel och vi står ju för vård och stöd - en kvalitativ studie om samverkan mellan polis och socialtjänst som arbetar med ungdomar i kriminalitet

Sammanfattning: The aim of this study is to highlight how the collaboration regarding youth criminals works between the police organization and the human service organization in a county in southern of Sweden. We have noticed that collaboration between organizatons can be difficult in our society because of things such as the organizations have different point of views on how they should collaborate, they have different organizationals structures which means that they have different working models and so on. Although we have seen obstacles with collaboration the police and the human service organization are bound by law to collaborate when it comes to helping youth criminals. This collaboration requirement made us want to find out what the police officers and social workers thinks of the collaboration. For that reason this study is based on interviews with people who work at the police organization and at the human service organization. We interviewed four social workers and two police officers. We found that both the police officers and the social workers in the county thought that the collaboration worked fine, although there were some obstacles such as secracy and confidentiality laws, different point of views on how they should work with the youth criminals and the lack of resources.
