Effekter av automatisering inom offentliga organisationer

Sammanfattning: In today’s increasingly digitized world, it is important tounderstand its effects and challenges. Automation is a crucialfactor in creating opportunities for improvement withinorganizations. The purpose of this qualitative study is toexamine the effects of automation in public agencies, both atthe organizational and individual levels. The study wasconducted within the organization SPV, and interviews wereconducted with employees of the organization. The interviewquestions were based on a theoretical framework developedfrom previous research, and the data was analyzed usingthematic analysis.The results of the investigation suggest that automation canhave several effects on the individual and an organization.The results regarding the impact on individuals indicated thatjob opportunities and tasks may change for employees. Apositive effect is that it can save time for employees to focuson specialized tasks, while a negative effect is that it cancreate concerns among employees about being replaced byautomation. The study showed that automation does notnecessarily result in a reduction in personnel within SPV dueto natural retirement. The effects on the organization indicatethat it can lead to more efficient work through time savingsand the possibility for automation to work at any time.Furthermore, automation can contribute to improved qualityand accuracy of work. A negative effect on the organizationis that automation can result in lost expertise.
