Att arbeta i samverkan - En studie om medarbetares upplevelser av att arbeta i ett arbetslivsrehabiliterande samverkansprojekt.

Sammanfattning: The purpose of our essay was to investigate how co-workers in a collaboration project between human service organizations experienced their work in relation to what obstacles and opportunities they have met during their time as a project. Our study was based on individual interviews from a group of people working with collaboration from different human service organizations in Sweden under the same roof. We have been able to elucidate some of its obstacles and why they became obstacles but also what opportunities and why they became opportunities for this particular group of co-workers. To approach our data we used organizational theory but also a systems theory more known as social systems theory by Niklas Luhmann. We found that the physical closeness to each organization, by the profession is an opportunity for the group working in collaboration. We also found that communication and understanding for each and one of the participant’s professional roles inherent to the specific organization within this group also became an opportunity. This due to the fact that they knew their own organizations rules and regulations well and with that also could contribute with this input to the group. Furthermore we understood that this group encountered some obstacles. Some of these obstacles can be described as to tight or to strict regulations and rules from some of the organizations and this could inhibit collaboration in two different ways. One was when rules and regulations did not match due to them being tight and rigorous. The other obstacle within rules and regulations were that some of the co-workers home organizations were deeply interested in statistics and the co-workers had to put time and effort into working and trying to resolve this matter for every case that was actualized in this group. Another obstacles were that the regional health department did not participate in this collaboration project.
