Sammanfattning: The purpose of the thesis is to investigate which of the school's fundamental values issues are addressed in religious education at the upper secondary school. After that, the issues of values from the school and in religious knowledge are compared and related to Sweden's values and the values of Swedish society. This is of interest as values, both in the workplace and in school, are very much discussed. In addition, how the school's values are used and must be worked on to prepare students for society and shape students into democratic citizens. Many of the values that are raised in the school can be linked to the subject of religion without much investigation, which the work delves into later and discusses how it affects the subject, the students and the teachers.
