Återupprättad arbetslinje eller någonting som håller på att gå sönder? Valmanifestens berättelse om Sverige år 2014

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Statsvetenskapliga institutionen

Sammanfattning: It is commonly expressed by political analysts that there are no longer any differences between the political parties in Swedish politics. The focus of this study has been to compare and analyze the narratives expressed in the election platforms of the major political actors in Sweden, namely Alliansen (the centreright political alliance, existing of the four parties that formed a government 2006- 2014) and the Social Democratic party. The aim is to review the narrative coherency, the frequency of competing frames and to decide if the narratives portray a society that is heading in the right direction or wrong, at large. The results indicate that there are substantial differences between the narratives provided by the political actors, and between the framing of the themes economy, employment and the condition of the welfare state. At the same time, the level of conflict vary, both between the political actors, and depending on the issue itself. More than anything, narratives seems to be highly depending on the political actor's status as a office-seeking party or a party that is already in office.
