6. Analysis and Performance Evaluation of a Three-phase Three-level Sparse Neutral Point Clamped Converter for Industrial Variable Speed Drives
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : This thesis project focuses on the simulation, design, hardware realization, and performance evaluation of a Three-phase Three-level (3-L) Sparse Neutral Point Clamped Converter (SNPCC) for Industrial Variable Speed Drives (VSDs). The basic operating principle of the SNPCC is briefly described based on switching functions. LÄS MER
7. Turing's model for pattern formation
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : In an attempt to describe how patterns emerge in biological systems, Alan Turing proposed a mathematical model encapsulating the properties of such processes. It details a partial differential equation governing the dynamics of two or more substances, called morphogens, reacting and diffusing in a specific manner, in turn generating what has now come to be denoted as Turing patterns. 8.
9. Alkaline Protein Extraction of Oat Bran and Oat Endosperm Flour - the Effect of pH during Extraction and Precipitation
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)Sammanfattning : An increased understanding of the negative impacts of animal-based proteins, on both environment and health, has led to a rise in the demand for plant-based proteins. To meet the demands, conventional crops must be efficiently utilized. LÄS MER
10. Homogenization of an elliptic transmission system modeling the flux of oxygen from blood vessels to tissues
Master-uppsats,Sammanfattning : Motivated by the study of the hypoxia problem in cancerous tissues, we propose a system of coupled partial differential equations defined on a heterogeneous, periodically perforated domain describing the flux of oxygen from blood vessels towards the tissue and the corresponding oxygen diffusion within the tissue. Using heuristics based on dimensional analysis, we rephrase the initially parabolic problem as a semi-linear elliptic transmission problem. LÄS MER
