  1. 11. Development of a C-RAN Fronthaul Simulator

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Noel Tesfalidet; Sam Khosravi; [2023]
    Nyckelord :5G; Fronthaul; functional split; C-RAN; simulation; optimization; Digital twin; 5G; Fronthaul; funktionell uppdelning; C-RAN; simulering; optimering; Digital tvilling;

    Sammanfattning : Cellular networks have significantly transformed the way we communicate and access data and the data rates have only been increasing for the last 30 years. 5G is the current generation of cellular networks and enables faster data rates and lower latency. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Using discrete-event simulation to enable implementation of picking and palletizing robots: A case study

    Master-uppsats, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Författare :Maja Kfouri; Adan Reimers; [2023]
    Nyckelord :DES; Palletizer robot; Internal logistics; Goods-receipt; KPI; OEE;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The study aims to develop a DES model to evaluate the impacts of implementing packaging and palletizing robotics in the goods-receipts process. Research questions: RQ1: “What are the requirements when developing a Discrete Event Simulation (DES) model of the goods receipt process in the internal logistics section of a manufacturing company?”, RQ2: “What is the impact of implementing a new layout with industrial palletizer robotics in manufacturing companies' internal logistics - specifically the goods receipt process in terms of robot Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), throughput, and WIP?” and, RQ3: “What considerations should companies take into account when implementing industrial palletizer robotics in their internal logistics, in terms of process flow?” Methodology: This study applied an inductive approach, letting the empirical findings guide the themes explored in the theoretical framework while having a constant interplay between empirical data collection and the construction of the simulation model. 3. 13. Att kombinera Värdeflödesanalys med Diskret händelsesimulering : För att ge support till beslutsfattandet och förbättringsprocessen inom tillverkningsindustrin

    Master-uppsats, Jönköping University/JTH, Produktionsutveckling

    Författare :Isagel Josefsson; Klara Stenholm; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Aggregated modeling; Decision-making; Discrete event simulation; Improvement process; Sustainable development; Value stream mapping;

    Sammanfattning : Purpose: The purpose of the research is to explore how to use and implement acombination of the tools value stream mapping and discrete event simulation, to supportthe decision-making in the improvement process in an organization. The researchfurther takes the sustainability aspect into consideration. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Optimering av slutflöde i produktionslina : Produktion av bakaxelbryggor hos Scania Luleå

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för ekonomi, teknik, konst och samhälle

    Författare :Tobias Wahlroos; [2022]
    Nyckelord :kapacitetsökning; arbetsförhållanden; produktion; transport; lean production; socioteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Scania operates in a rapidly changing industry. Technical innovations, environmental requirements and green fuels are just some of the factors that force the transport sector to constantly develop in step with the environment. This is also the case at Scania Luleå and is reflected in the production of rear axle housings to trucks and buses. LÄS MER

  5. 15. A study of how Lean principles affect process ergonomics : A case study at Volvo CE Braås using discrete event simulation

    M1-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för maskinteknik (MT)

    Författare :Jessica Peltonen; Jessica Borg; [2022]
    Nyckelord :94 6-rule; DES; Disassembly; Ergonomic; Facts Analyzer; Flow theory; Gemba; Lean; Optimal zone; Standard deviation; Statistics; Survey; SWEA; Variation.;

    Sammanfattning : To stay competitive in today's market, organizations focus on efficiency to reduce costs. Since there are still processes that are manually handled, there is a risk of affecting workers health during streamlining. Volvo CE Braås are currently working with a takt time of 35 minutes throughout their facility. LÄS MER
