  1. 6. Design of a 2-D Lattice Flower Constellation for Earth observation applying the twin satellite concept

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Julia Martín-Fuertes Brañas; [2023]
    Nyckelord :2D Lattice Flower Constellation design; number of satellites; number of planes; revisit time; coverage; optimized constellation; target list; twin satellite concept; FreeFlyer; 2D Lattice Flower Constellation design; antal satelliter; antal plan; återbesökstid; täckning; optimerad konstellation; mållista; tvilling-satellit-koncept; FreeFlyer;

    Sammanfattning : Events such as forest fires or floods are a danger to our Earth’s environment and the people living in it. The sooner they can be detected, the less damage they can cause. An idea arises: use satellites to monitor the Earth and relay information to prevention and rescue organizations in a very short time, regardless of accessibility from ground. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Development and Application of an End-of-Life Framework

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Daniel Blomberg; David Lorang; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : As the global climate crisis becomes more urgent, organizations are forced to find ways of reducing their environmental footprint to meet changing climate policies and consumer demands. As the automotive industry is adapting to the shift from internal combustion engines to electrification, as well as the shift from traditional linear business models to circular ones, there is a chance for new actors entering the market to adopt circular business models from their inception, giving them an edge over incumbent firms who have slower adaption times. 3. 8. Techno-economic analysis and simulation of low temperature district heating networks

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö

    Författare :Ilia Iarkov; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Low-temperature district heating; Modelica; BTES; LCA; LCC; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The continuous increase in global energy consumption has led to a greater focus on the energy required for heating buildings. This thesis presents a techno-economic model for analysing low-temperature district heating networks coupled with a geothermal heat source. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Återbruk av byggnadsmaterial : En litteraturstudie om utmaningar som idag hindrar användningen av återbrukade byggnadsmaterial

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för ekonomi, samhälle och teknik

    Författare :Adam Bergquist; Oskar Bigelius; William Bergqvist; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Reuse; deconstruction; obstacles; challenges; technical; economic; environmental;

    Sammanfattning : Purpose: This study aims to identify obstacles and challenges that prevent the reuse of building materials and bring forth possible solutions. But also to examine the technical-, economic- and environmental advantages and disadvantages of using reused building materials. LÄS MER

  5. 10. A European Material Kuznets Curve

    Kandidat-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Nationalekonomiska institutionen

    Författare :Pyry Järvinen; Emil Fernström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Material Kuznets Curve; Environmental Kuznets Curve; Economic Growth; Economics Development; Material Footprint; Emissions; Sustainable Growth; Decoupling; Europe;

    Sammanfattning : This bachelor thesis investigates the correlation between 28 European countries’material footprints (MF), as proxied by their Raw Material Consumption (RMC)per capita, and the environmental impact indicated by their carbon dioxide (CO2)emissions per capita, respectively, with their economic development, measured bytheir purchase power parity adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) per capita,during the period of 2008 to 2019. Specifically, through the theoretical frameworkof the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) and by utilizing Fixed EffectsOrdinary Least Squares regression models as well as Pooled Mean Groupestimation, the thesis asks whether or not evidence can be found for the possibleexistence of an EKC, an inverted-U shaped relationship between environmentaldegradation and economic development, within this European context.
