  1. 1. Utilization of Biomethane in Decarbonising India´s Energy Mix

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Energiteknik

    Författare :Niraj Ravindra Kunkulol; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Anaerobic digestion; biogas; biomethane; membrane filtration; pressure swing adsorption; Anaerob rötning; biogas; biometan; membranfiltrering; trycksvängadsorption;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the potential of biomethane production in India, the impact of its integration into the energy mix, and the corresponding Greenhouse Gases (GHG) emission and potential reduction. India, with its huge population and being an agriculturally rich country, produces gigantic amounts of biodegradable waste from various sources such as Municipal Solid Waste (MSW),agricultural waste, animal husbandry, sugar industry, etc. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Preferences for carbon information : a Discrete Choice Experiment with Swedish non-professional investors

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Economics

    Författare :Mahesh Kumar Shrestha; [2023]
    Nyckelord :discrete choice experiment; investment preference; GHG target; carbon information; target progress; carbon disclosure; non-professional investors; impact investing; sustainable and responsible investments; SRI;

    Sammanfattning : GHG targets, an aspect of carbon disclosure are an integral part of corporate carbon management and overall carbon accounting. GHG targets and the target-related attributes – including target difficulty, target progress, and external validation of target as a science-based target, along with past GHG emission performance are attributes related to carbon information that is increasingly included in the corporate carbon disclosures. 3. 3. Net-zero transition for companies– hindering and supporting factors : The influence of SBTi, sustainability reporting, and ratings

    Magister-uppsats, Högskolan Dalarna/Institutionen för kultur och samhälle

    Författare :Johanna Flood; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Net-zero; transition; SBTi; sustainability reporting; sustainability ratings; CDP;

    Sammanfattning : The emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by 45% between 2010 and 2030 and reach net-zero by around 2050 (IPCC, 2018) to limit global temperature-rise to 1,5 degrees C. More companies are committing to net-zero emissions, but the overall emissions of greenhouse gases in the world are still going up, and previous research shows that there is an implementation gap and lack of plans in companies. 4. 4. The application of low-cost sensors in estimates of greenhouse gases : A field study at a wastewater treatment plant

    Kandidat-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Filosofiska fakulteten; Linköpings universitet/Tema Miljöförändring

    Författare :Daniel Montecinos; Saga Magnusson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Methane; Carbon dioxide; wastewater treatment; Low-cost sensor network; Measurement; Environmental monitoring;

    Sammanfattning : Anthropogenic activity has caused increased concentrations of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere which has resulted in global warming gaining momentum. GHG emission estimates up to date are insufficient and in order to mitigate GHG emissions of anthropogenic origin fluxes of GHGs need to be mapped. LÄS MER

  5. 5. GHG impact of cloud IT solutions from Scania's commercial autonomous vehicles in use phase: Assessment, challenges, and possible recommendations to reduce GHG impact

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Cong Huifen; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Sustainable Development; Green IT; cloud service solution; cloud GHG emissions; cloud GHG assessment; Sustainable Software Development;

    Sammanfattning : Sustainability study in the ever-growing Information technology (IT) sector is an emerging interdisciplinary research field. As one essential element in this sector, the development and implementation of cloud-based autonomous vehicles have the great potential to bring convenience to society and are defined as the climate change mitigation strategy.
