1. Digitally Controlled Oscillator Topologies for mm-Wave Pulsed Coherent Radar
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknikSammanfattning : The advancement of future generations of wireless communication and radar sensing warrants the need for mm-wave digitally controlled oscillators (DCOs) with high-frequency trade-offs in consideration. The purpose of this project is to investigate DCO topologies inspired from scientific literature. LÄS MER
2. Hybrid Microwave Resonator-Nanoscale Conductor Systems
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Entanglement is a fundamental aspect of quantum computation and quantum information processes. In this work, we analyse the entanglement of two microwave resonators when connected to a semiconductor double quantum dot. LÄS MER
3. Beyond the Gross-Pitaevskii Equation: A Perturbative Approach
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Teknisk fysik (CI)Sammanfattning : We propose and implement a beyond Gross-Pitaevskii approach based on Many-Body Perturbation theory (MBPT) for the study of Bose-Einstein Condensate (BECs) ground states. Two partitions of the system Hamiltonian are considered. LÄS MER
4. Quantum statistics of a three-level maser
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Lasers and masers have numerous uses in today’s society. Improving our understanding of the underlying physics and its application is thus of great importance. LÄS MER
5. Comparing Three Numerical Methods For Solving The 1D Time Dependent Schrödinger Equation
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för teknikvetenskap (SCI)Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to implement three numerical methods for solving and examining the time-dependent Schrödinger equation (TDSE) of the analytically solved quantum harmonic oscillator (QHO) and the, to our knowledge, analytically unsolved double well potential (DW), and to compare the numerical solutions. These methods are the Crank-Nicolson method and two split operator methods of different orders. LÄS MER
