  1. 1. Predicting inflow and infiltration to wastewater networks based on temperature measurements

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Författare :Martin Åsell; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Inflow and Infiltration; I I; CNN; Linear regression;

    Sammanfattning : Sewer pipelines are deteriorating due to aging and sub optimal material selections, leading to the infiltration of clean ground and rainfall water into the pipes. It is estimated that a significant portion (up to 40-50%) of the water entering wastewater treatment plants is actually clean infiltrated water. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Bluegreengrey (BGG) solution for future climate and flood-resilient urban drainage network by enhancing the natural hydrological cycle

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Författare :Adnan Asif Rifat; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Bluegreengrey; Sustainable stormwater; Basement flooding; Urban flooding; Pipe Network; BGG; Climate change; Hydrology; Mike .; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : A loop of urbanization, increasing impervious surface in urban areas, increasing temperature, rainfall, surface runoff and flooding, and lack of new spaces have been adding challenges to urban drainage systems for decades. The climate change impacts are exposing the existing vulnerable conventional urban drainage systems to more challenges in the future. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Modelling of Inflow and Infiltration into Wastewater Systems with Regression and Random Forest

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Författare :Viggo Steen Danielsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Regression; random forest; wastewater systems; rainwater infiltration; rainwater inflow.; Regression; random forest; avloppssystem; trög regnpåverkan; snabb regnpåverkan.;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the validity of statistical modelling, with regards to flow in wastewater systems based on precipitation. A wastewater system, which is a system of pump-stations connected via pipes, is affected by precipitation as rainwater enters the system. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Hydrological modelling of a recycling facility and landfill

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Författare :Mazen Tawfik; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Parsimonious approach; Lumped modelling; Surface water; Landfill; Leachate water; Storage reservoirs.; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : A parsimonious lumped model for simulating a catchment composed of a landfill and recycling facility were developed. The modelling results showed an acceptable conformity with the observed values with NSE of 0.54 and R2 of 0.56 in hourly simulations, though the results were characterized by a general underestimation. 5. 5. How can Inflow & Infiltration be effectively and sustainably managed? : MCA as a tool for decision support in planning Inflow & Infiltration

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Erika Qvick; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Inflow and infiltration; stormwater; sewer system; sustainable urban water management; decision support; multicriteria analysis; Tillskottsvatten; dagvatten; avloppssystem; hållbar urban vattenhantering; beslutsstöd; multikriterieanalys;

    Sammanfattning : Inflow and infiltration (I/I) water in the sewer network originates from groundwater, precipitation, seawater as well as over-leakage from drinking water pipes. It is the proportion of water in the sewer system that is not wastewater and causes problems both at the treatment plant as well as in the sewer network. LÄS MER
