1. Design and implementation of an energy harvesting system in a prosthetic limb
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Energy Harvesting, also known as power harvesting or ambient power, is the process of obtaining small amounts of power from secondary sources, such as vibrations, light, temperature variations and even radio-frequency emissions. These systems have been uncommon in personal and wearable electronics in the past, however they are slowly gaining traction. LÄS MER
2. Evaluation of key performance indices for frequency quality : A method for evaluating frequency stability in the Nordic power system
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : The Nordic power system is in a changing phase, with more power electronic interfaced connections, and HVDC connections to other synchronous areas, which impacts the frequency quality. This is a challenge for the transmission system operator of Sweden, Svenska Kraftnät, who, with the other Nordic transmission system operators, is responsible for the physical balancing of the Nordic power system. 3. Numerical and experimental investigation of multiple gas jet flow behaviour in the gas atomization process
Master-uppsats, KTH/MaterialvetenskapSammanfattning : In several industrial applications, the interaction of supersonic gas jets is encountered such as gas atomization, jet engines and the basic oxygen furnace process. In the gas atomization process, high pressure gases are converted to high velocity gas jets through convergent-divergent nozzles. LÄS MER
4. Exterior ballistics analysis for rocket propelled KE-penetrator - A conceptual simulation study within fluid mechanics and flight mechanics
Master-uppsats, KTH/Lättkonstruktioner, marina system, flyg- och rymdteknik, rörelsemekanikSammanfattning : This study has investigated the conceptual feasibility of a rocket propelled kinetic energy penetrator (KEP), designed for the handheld recoilless rifle Carl-Gustaf® 84 mm calibre system, from an exterior ballistics perspective. The methodology is based upon evaluating the aerodynamic properties of different conceptual design proposals through CFD-simulations and then performing trajectory analysis to assess their exterior ballistic performance. 5. Frequency Stability of Power Electronic Based Power System with 100% Renewable Energy.
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : The modern power system is aiming to progress away from conventional synchronous machine based power generation towards converter dominated system that leads to extensively high penetration of renewable energy such as wind and PV. This transition of modern power system toward converter based renewable energy comes with new challenges as the conventional synchronous generation is being replaced by converter based power system (CBPS).
