  1. 6. Size effect in wood : Characterization of mechanical properties using digital image correlation method

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad mekanik

    Författare :Amir Saeidi; Olafur Johannsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :compression test longitudinal direction; digital image corre- lation DIC ; ncorr; phyton; pinewood; size effect; stiffness matrix; wood- construction; YAWCAM; young’s modulus; digital image correlation DIC ; elasticitetsmodul; furu; kom- pressionstest längs fiberriktning; ncorr; phyton; storlekseffekt; styvhetsma- tris; trä-konstruktion; YAWCAM;

    Sammanfattning : As a natural composite material, wood exhibits complex structural char-acteristics and diverse behavior under compression and tensile forces. Itsanisotropic nature results in mechanical properties that vary depending onthe load direction along its longitudinal, tangential, and radial grains. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Multi-Scale Topology Optimization of Lattice Structures Using Machine Learning

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad mekanik

    Författare :Julia Ibstedt; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Topology optimization; Multi-scale topology optimization; Machine learning; Gaussian process; Homogenization; Inverse homogenization; Anisotropic materials; Symmetry groups; Material property space; Topologioptimering; Flerskalig topologioptimering; Maskininlärning; Gaussian process; Homogenisering; Anisotropa material; Symmetrigrupper; Materialegenskapsrymd;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis explores using multi-scale topology optimization (TO) by utilizing inverse homogenization to automate the adjustment of each unit-cell's geometry and placement in a lattice structure within a pressure vessel (the design domain) to achieve desired structural properties. The aim is to find the optimal material distribution within the design domain as well as desired material properties at each discretized element and use machine learning (ML) to map microstructures with corresponding prescribed effective properties. 3. 8. A Continuous-time ODE Framework to Centrality in Dynamic Networks

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematikcentrum; Lunds universitet/Matematik (naturvetenskapliga fakulteten)

    Författare :Francisco Garcia Atienza; [2023]
    Nyckelord :networks; centrality; continuous-time; matrix logarithm; ode framework; katz; resolvent; Mathematics and Statistics;

    Sammanfattning : The present study discusses and evaluates a novel continuous-time approach to network centrality, a fundamental concept in network analysis. Static methods based on discrete snapshots or time slices for measuring node interaction in networks that change over time do not fully capture the dynamical nature of network evolution. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Stationary Distribution of Markov Chain

    Magister-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Matematiska institutionen

    Författare :Eleazar Neamat; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Markov chain is a mathematical tool for modeling systems that evolve over time and hasbeen used in many fields such as physics, chemistry, economics, biology, and data science.This thesis contains an introduction to the theory and the applications of Markov chains,focusing on those with finite state spaces. 5. 10. Approximation of Analytic Functions by Faber Polynomials, the Grunsky Matrix, and a Univalence Criterion

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Fysik

    Författare :Mina Farag; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Faber polynomials; Approximation of functions; Grunsky matrix; univalence criterion;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is derive a set of polynomials defined on simply connected domains, the Faberpolynomials, in which all analytic function on the domain can be uniformly approximated. Importantconcepts and theorems such as isomorphisms, automorphisms and the Riemann mapping theorem areintroduced. Examples and applications are also included. LÄS MER
