  1. 11. When Flying is Inevitable : How international companies and business travelers can contribute to the transformation towards a future of sustainable aviation

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Industriell ekonomi och organisation (Inst.)

    Författare :Frida Sjöström; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Carbon Neutral; Business aviation; Sustainable Aviation; Sustainable Strategy; Sustainable Aviation Fuel; Hydrogen; Electric; Switzerland; Technology-Push; DemandPull.; Koldioxidneutralt; affärsflyg; hållbart flyg; hållbar strategi; hållbart flygbränsle; vätgas; elflyg; Schweiz; Technology-Push; Demand-Pull;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis emerged from a question that had been repeating itself in my head for a long period of time: If myself and the rest of the world face the fact that we are likely to keep flying for years to come for reasons somehow considered valid, how can we at the same time still contribute efficiently to achieving a more sustainable future of aviation? Based on this dilemma and focusing on the factor of impact, an actor with the power of creating a larger impact than a single individual was firstly identified. This actor also provides the perspective used in this thesis. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Varför får inte mitt barn spela? : Hur relationen mellan tränare och föräldrar påverkar ungdomarna

    Magister-uppsats, Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan, GIH/Institutionen för rörelse, kultur och samhälle

    Författare :Anton Kilander; Robin Lindström; [2024]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Syfte Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur relationen mellan föräldrar och tränare ser ut, samt hur det påverkar idrottsutövarna i deras idrott och skolgång. Ett flertal studier indikerar att relationen är något dålig och konflikt rik. Vilket är ett stort problem eftersom många av de som vistas i dessa miljöer är barn. LÄS MER

  3. 13. N-body simulations of exoplanets and their moons

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astrofysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Lydia Schollmeier; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : The planet-planet interactions in a many-planet system cannot be analytically calculated. Instead, they have to be investigated by using an N-body simulation. I discuss three questions about the N-body interactions in planetary systems: The first two are on the system 55 Cnc, a system with five known planets around a K-type star. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Headfirst into shallow water - Wetland restoration and its contribution to the Habitats Directive

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Växtekologi och evolution; Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildning

    Författare :Elin Brandt Korall; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Wetlands; GIS; Restoration; Rewetting; Ecology; LONA; Habitats Directive; Natura 2000; Nature conservation; Våtmarker; GIS; Geografiska informationssystem; Restaurering; Återvätning; LONA; Art- och Habitatsdirektivet; Natura 2000; Naturvård;

    Sammanfattning : Located in the borderland between aquatic and terrestrial environments, the wetlands cover a wide spectrum of habitats and enable living standards for a great variety of organisms. Although important habitats, a great extent of the original wetlands have disappeared in Europe and Sweden due to anthropogenic disturbances. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Estimating historic ranges of extinct scavenging birds from North America during the late Pleistocene using co-occurrence data from the fossil record

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för biologi och miljövetenskap

    Författare :Melissa Miranda; [2023-06-30]
    Nyckelord :Scavenging birds; Vultures; Co-occurrence Data; Range Estimates; Spatial Autoregressive Models; Co-extinction;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of my study was to estimate and compare the historic range of nine scavenging birds from North America that went jointly extinct with their mammalian megafaunal prey in the Late Pleistocene. Although the severity and timing of their co-extinction are strongly correlated, there has been little analytical support in providing estimates for the possible geographic distribution of scavenging birds prior to the extinction event.
