   Sammanfattning : The findings of this thesis suggest that there appears to be a bad spiral. In countries with a lot of natural resources and poorly developed socio-economic structures, there is a present tendency to lower environmental protection laws in order to attract foreign investors by creating market oriented regulations. The Swedish Government Offices published in year 2013 the publication "Sustainable business - Platform for Swedish action", in order to determine how the Swedish law looks at the concept of sustainable development, which values and how an implementation of the concept will take place at a national level.
