    Sammanfattning : This study examines how the relation of earnings and payout is influenced by country-level moderators of investor protection and creditor rights.     Sammanfattning : Examining the Stockholm Stock Exchange between 1999-2017, we find that foundation-owned firms on average stand for about 50 percent of the total market capitalization and 15 percent of the total number of firms, illustrating the large prevalence and implications foundations have on the Swedish business society. We identify four different categories of foundations; Family, Non-Family, Employee, and Government foundations, where the first is the largest regarding both total firms and total market capitalization.     Sammanfattning : This paper investigates determinants of payout levels and payout composition in multinational corporations and domestic corporations and how payout differs between the two, as well as the effect of a country’s legal tradition on payout, on a worldwide sample. My main findings are that multinational corporations’ total payout is slightly lower than domestic corporations’ payout when taking into account a country’s legal tradition affects. LÄS MER
