1. Synthesis and characterization of a greener poly(vinyl acetate) adhesive
Master-uppsats, KTH/Fiber- och polymerteknologiSammanfattning : To produce a greener adhesive is always an issue of concern to the commercial market and global environment. The environmental request for producing greener and bio-based adhesives leads to an increased awareness of replacing fossil-based components in adhesives with bio-based alternatives. LÄS MER
2. BJÖRNGRAVEN FRÅN KARATS En explorativ studie av arkeologiskt benmaterial och dess betydelse i den samiska religionen
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvårdSammanfattning : This thesis is an exploratory study of a Sámi Bear Grave found on a small island in lake Karats, Jokkmokk in 1983. The grave was excavated in 1986 and put on display at Ájtte, Swedish Mountain and Sámi Museum in Jokkmokk. LÄS MER
3. A Comparative Life Cycle Assessment of Alternative Polymers to Poly(vinyl chloride) for Use in Flooring Applications
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntesSammanfattning : Poly(vinyl chloride) has a long history of use in the flooring industry. Throughout the years, several environmental and health issues have arisen concerning the production, usage and disposal of PVC. LÄS MER
4. Reaction Mechanism between Chitosan and Cerium(VI) Ammonium Nitrate for Production of a Greener Poly(Vinyl Acetate) Adhesive
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)Sammanfattning : Poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc) has a major application as an indoor wood adhesive. Low water stability is however, one of the greatest drawbacks of PVAc. By grafting PVAc from a chitosan (CS) backbone (CS-graft- PVAc) water stability of adhesive is increased while good mechanical and adhesive properties are retained. LÄS MER
5. Glucose Levulinates as Bio-plasticizers
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för kemivetenskap (CHE)Sammanfattning : Glucose, as the most plentiful sugar in nature, is a renewable resource and possesses excellent record in health safety. Levulinic acid is a platform chemical which plays an important role in biomass transformation and reactive intermediates. LÄS MER
