1. Solving Ordinary Differential Equations and Systems using Neural Network Methods
Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för matematik och datavetenskap (from 2013)Sammanfattning : The applications of differential equations are many. However, many differential equations modelling real-world scenarios are very complex and it can be of great difficulty to find an exact solution if one even exists. Thus, it is of importance to be able to approximate solutions of differential equations. LÄS MER
2. The role of explicit solutions in the analysis of epidemic models
Kandidat-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för matematik (MA)Sammanfattning : In this thesis, we will study basic mathematical epidemic models SIR, SIS, and SEIR. Then we will construct a modified model as a combination of SIR and SIS models. First, we will find the explicit solutions for the SIS model. and show no exact solution for the SIR model. LÄS MER
3. A Physics-Informed Deep Learning Framework for Solving Inverse Problems in Epidemiology
Master-uppsats, KTH/Optimeringslära och systemteoriSammanfattning : This thesis develops and evaluates a physics-informed neural network (PINN) modelling framework for solving inverse problems in epidemiology. The PINN works by modifying the standard mean squared error loss function of the neural network, by adding a term penalizing deviations from a given compartmental model's system of ordinary differential equations. 4. Spatiotemporal Fidelity of a Metapopulational Model Evaluated on the COVID-19 Pandemic in Sweden
Kandidat-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknikSammanfattning : A modified SEIR compartmental model is constructed for COVID-19 in a metapopulational setting with fine-scaled population data. The model is stochastically simulated with GLEAMviz that provides realistic short and long distance mobility based on real-world data. LÄS MER
5. Identifying municipalities most likely to contribute to an epidemic outbreak in Sweden using a human mobility network
Kandidat-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknikSammanfattning : The importance of modelling the spreading of infectious diseases as part of a public health strategy has been highlighted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. This includes identifying the geographical areas or travel routes most likely to contribute to the spreading of an outbreak. LÄS MER
