1. Experimental Study of Magnetic Field Effects on Hairpin SNSPD Turn Designs for Single Photon Detection : Investigating the Relationship between Magnetic Field Strength and SNSPD Performance
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Superconducting Nanowire Single Photon Detectors (SNSPDs) are a promising technology for detecting single photon emissions with high efficiency and low noise. This detector class has numerous applications in quantum optics, communication, and sensing. LÄS MER
2. Cold amplification and fiber coupling of a super-conducting nanowire single-photon detector
Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysikSammanfattning : Single-photon detectors are an essential tool for quantum photonics: one can harness the quantum properties of single photons for quantum communication as well as use the detectors in low illumination applications.Superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors offer high detection efficiency over a widerange of wavelengths, low dark counts, and a good timing resolution compared to single-photonavalanche diodes. 3. Single Photon LSCM in the NIR Range
Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysikSammanfattning : In this thesis a near-infrared laser scanning confocal microscope (NIR-LSCM) is built to operate with optimal performance at 1550nm in combination with simultaneous LED light imaging at 970nm. For detection, a camera equipped with a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) sensor and a superconducting nanowire single photon detector (SNSPD) are used for the LED part and the LSCM part, respectively. 4. Cryo-CMOS ICs for Scalable Superconducting Nanowire Single Photon Detectors
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors are the most promising technology in quantum photon information. They offer high speed, high detection efficiency, low dark count rate as well as low timing jitter compared to other single photon detection solutions. LÄS MER
5. Statistical Analysis of Dark Counts in Superconducting Nanowire Single Photon Detectors
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : In this paper we perform a statistical analysis of dark counts in superconducting nanowire single photon detectors (SNSPDs) with the end goal of creating a quantum random number generator (QRNG) using these dark counts. We confirm that dark counts are Poissonian for low bias currents and that no afterpulsing is present. LÄS MER
