  1. 1. Genetisk variation hos lantrashöns : skillnader inom svenska lantraser och europeiska lantraser

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Breeding and Genetics

    Författare :Andrea Hilding; [2023]
    Nyckelord :genetisk variation; lantras; höns; svensk lantras; Europa;

    Sammanfattning : Detta arbete undersöker hur den genetiska variationen ser ut hos lantrashöns i Sverige och några europeiska länder. Den genetiska variationen är ett mått på vilken nivå av biologisk mångfald som finns inom en art eller population och kan visa på hur inavel tidigare förekommit i populationerna som undersöks. 2. 2. Avelsarbetet med svenska varmblodshästar

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry

    Författare :Alba Bengtsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Svenskt varmblod; avelsarbete; avelsprogram;

    Sammanfattning : Det svenska varmblodet (SWB) är ett av världens äldsta varmblod med rötter i en äldre kavallerihäst. Idag är avelsmålet för SWB-hästen inte längre att bistå Sverige i krig utan att vara en internationellt konkurrenskraftig tävlingsindivid i hoppning, dressyr eller fälttävlan. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Multi-environment Screening of Timothy (Phleum pratense) Breeding Material for Better Forage Yield in Sweden.

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Plant Breeding (from 130101)

    Författare :Ibrahim Issa; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Phleum pratense; Multi-Environment; Forage yield; Sweden; Genotype-by-environment interaction Swedish;

    Sammanfattning : Timothy (Phleum pratense) is one of the most widely used forage crops in hay and pasture grass mixtures in Nordic countries; it’s also used in areas where it is one of the top forage crops harvested high yield, especially in boreal climates. There hasn’t been any large-scale breeding of Timothy to develop varieties that are adapted for Swedish climate and standards, which is surprising given that Timothy is the main forage crop used in Sweden. 4. 4. Heritage cereals : tasty and sustainable? : acceptance and important qualities of heritage cereals

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Urban and Rural Development

    Författare :Malin Ekblad; [2022]
    Nyckelord :heritage cereals; consumer awareness; consumer acceptance; consumer preference; food quality;

    Sammanfattning : Heritage cereals, a group of cereals that have not been subjected to modern crop breeding, have been getting attention due to their generally high genetic diversity, traits like high drought and disease tolerance as well as high nutritional values. Knowledge about how consumers relate to heritage cereals in Sweden is limited, and therefore this thesis aims to, firstly, explore acceptance, awareness and preferences among a specific consumer group; students in the agriculture program at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and, secondly, quality perception in relation to heritage cereals among consumers, bakers and retailers, in a Swedish context. 5. 5. Assessing the effect of Fusarium graminearum inoculation on the root structure of Swedish winter wheat cultivars (Triticum aestivum

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Crop Production Ecology

    Författare :Fayez Altabbaa; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Fusarium graminearum; conidium suspension; hypha agar plug; root architecture traits; root cellar structure traits; shoot traits; genotypes;

    Sammanfattning : Several diseases attack the wheat crop and reduce the yield, such as root disease, which causes a tremendous loss in wheat production. Root rot has a variety of causal agents, such as nematodes, viruses, and bacteria, but the most common pathogens causing wheat root rot are oomycetes and fungi. LÄS MER
