1. Mapping the Expression of Cyclin Dependent Kinase Inhibitors in High-Risk Neuroblastoma Cell Lines : Dynamics on Cell-Fate Decisions on Proliferation/Cell Cycle Arrest
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)Sammanfattning : Poor prognosis for high-risk neuroblastoma patients makes it necessary to find novel treatmentstrategies. This work aims to understand the cell cycle behavior of various high-riskneuroblastoma cell lines following chemotherapy treatment. LÄS MER
2. Nascent RNA sequencing of unperturbed newly divided cells
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildningSammanfattning : Establishing a definitive cell cycle progression has been one of the fundamental aims of cellular biology. Its importance lies in gaining insight into the basic processes of life as well as the functions of mutant cell cycle pathways in promoting cancer by replication deficiencies and loss of checkpoint control. 3. Elucidation of the role of the MICOS complex in signal transduction from mitocondrial DNA nucleoids
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Tillämpad biokemiSammanfattning : The MICOS complex protein MicF has recently been identified to play a vital role in the mitochondrial DNA inheritance checkpoint, a control system that halts cell cycle progression in cells lacking mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA). We show in this report that another member of the complex, MicA, also plays an important role in the mtDNA inheritance checkpoint as its deletion led to cell cycle progression in cells lacking mtDNA (Rho0 cells). 4. The control of the cell cycle with particular emphasis on the G1/S transition
Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biomedical Sciences and Veterinary Public HealthSammanfattning : Tumour development occurs to a large extent because of dysregulation of the cell cycle. Of particular importance are defects occurring in the G1 phase. The reason why G1 is critical is because of the influence of several signals (external signals as well as cyclins and cdks) on this stage. The G1 phase can be divided into two parts, G1pm and G1ps. 5. Genetic analysis of the fission yeast
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Examensarbeten i molekylärbiologiSammanfattning : ABSTRACT Ribonucleotide reductase (RNR) catalyzes the rate‐limiting step of dNTP production. The availability of finely tuned dNTP pools is very important to maintain genome stability during DNA synthesis for replication and repair. Therefore the activity of RNR is tightly regulated via various mechanisms. LÄS MER
