  1. 1. Stitching Sustainability: Exploring the Dynamics of Slow Fashion: A qualitative content analysis of how two Swedish fashion companies operate in practice in relation to a slow fashion framework

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för globala studier

    Författare :Olivia Malvebo; [2023-10-25]
    Nyckelord :Slow fashion; fashion industry; supply chain; globalization; gap; consumerism; green critiques of development; Filippa K; Nudie Jeans;

    Sammanfattning : Collective research indicates that the global fashion industry faces extensive challenges within the objective of a just and sustainable development and clarifies the need for slow production and consumption. Slow fashion is both a movement and a theoretical concept aiming to do this, where slow is not time- but quality-based. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Space Utilization in Road Transportation: A Case Study of Truck Deliveries

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Graduate School

    Författare :Marija Nikolova; Sirious Nterai; [2023-07-03]
    Nyckelord :Distribution; Emissions; Packaging; Truck deliveries; Space Utilization; Space Optimization;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: To understand why big logistics companies do not focus their resources on improving space utilization and decreasing the phenomenon of empty running. Moreover, this study aims to present the potential economic and environmental benefits of reduced excess air in packaging and its effect on truck deliveries. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Is two stage GAC better than one stage GAC for removing PFAS at a DWTP? : Investigation of PFAS removal from drinking water using two stage granular activated carbon (GAC) filter

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Oliver Ekesiöö; [2023]
    Nyckelord :GAC; PFAS; drinking water treatment; two stage GAC;

    Sammanfattning : The removal of 34 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) were compared in a 1 stagegranular activated carbon (GAC) filtration to a 2 stage GAC filtration in a pilot study at adrinking water treatment plant (DWTP). The PFASs that were present in the water wereperfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), perfluoropentanoic acid(PFPeA), perfluorohexanoic acid (PFHxA), perfluoroheptanoic acid (PFHpA), perfluorobutanesulfonic acid (PFBS), perfluoropentane sulfonic acid (PFPeS) and perfluorohexane sulfonic acid(PFHxS). 4. 4. Investigating the potential of systematic optical petrography in a geometallurgical context : A case study on boulder characterization from Rajapalot property, Finland

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Annie Björk; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Petrography; optical microscopy; scanning electron microscopy; geometallurgy; mining value chain; Peräpohja belt;

    Sammanfattning : Geometallurgy describes a holistic approach to mining (integrating geological, metallurgical, geotechnical, environmental, and more parameters) with the goal to improve the efficiency and sustainability of a mining operation. The potential of systematic optical petrography in a geometallurgical context was investigated in this study, as well as how petrography may be useful across disciplines in several blocks of the mining value chain. 5. 5. An assessment of circular economy measures in the construction value chain for offshore wind turbines

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Byggproduktion

    Författare :Therése Svensson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Circular economy; Construction value chain; Wind energy; Offshore wind turbine; Offshore wind farm; Design; Manufacturing; Construction; Operation and maintenance; End of life; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The construction sector is responsible for high energy consumption and large emissions of carbon dioxide, which is strongly linked to building materials. Within the European Union, the construction sector generates more than a third of all waste and circular economy is considered as a suitable approach to tackle these challenges. LÄS MER
