  1. 6. The Drivers of Decoupling: The Influence of Political factors on CO2 Emissions using a two-way fixed effect approach

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Graduate School

    Författare :Emilia Akbary; Daniella Söderling; [2023-06-29]
    Nyckelord :Fixed effects; Political indicators; Carbon emissions; Environmental Kuznets Curve; Decoupling; Sustainable Development;

    Sammanfattning : The fight against climate change and the subsequent discussions about sustainable growth have been ongoing for decades. While multiple countries have successfully achieved sustainable growth, which is described as decoupling in the literature, it is still unanswered which factors are the key driving forces. LÄS MER

  2. 7. IDENTIFICATION OF ENVIRONMENTALLY RELEVANT BENTHIC FORAMINIFERA FROM THE SKAGERRAK FJORDS BY DEEP LEARNING IMAGE MODELING

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för biologi och miljövetenskap

    Författare :Marko Plavetic; [2023-06-26]
    Nyckelord :benthic foraminifera; deep learning; environmental monitoring; YOLOv7;

    Sammanfattning : Over the several past decades, there has been increasing interest in using foraminifera as environmental indicators for coastal marine environments. As compared to macrofauna, which are currently used in environmental studies, foraminifera offer several distinct advantages as bioindicators, including short generation times, a high number of individuals per small sample volume, hard and durable tests with high preservation potential, and low cost of sample extraction. 3. 8. Assessing transformative learning impacts on 1st year university students using large-scale conservation projects on students’ environmental attitudes and pro-environmental behaviors

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för didaktik och pedagogisk profession

    Författare :Dylan Stiegemeier; [2023-06-26]
    Nyckelord :Transformative Education; Environment; Environmental Attitudes; Pro-Environmental Behaviors; Conservation Education;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The world today is facing many environmental and sustainability problems.The aim of this research project is to examine the effects of large scale conservation projects on participants' environmental attitudes and pro-environmental behaviors. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Design of a 2-D Lattice Flower Constellation for Earth observation applying the twin satellite concept

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Julia Martín-Fuertes Brañas; [2023]
    Nyckelord :2D Lattice Flower Constellation design; number of satellites; number of planes; revisit time; coverage; optimized constellation; target list; twin satellite concept; FreeFlyer; 2D Lattice Flower Constellation design; antal satelliter; antal plan; återbesökstid; täckning; optimerad konstellation; mållista; tvilling-satellit-koncept; FreeFlyer;

    Sammanfattning : Events such as forest fires or floods are a danger to our Earth’s environment and the people living in it. The sooner they can be detected, the less damage they can cause. An idea arises: use satellites to monitor the Earth and relay information to prevention and rescue organizations in a very short time, regardless of accessibility from ground. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Balanserad hållbarhetsredovisning : En studie om hur skogsindustrier balanserar positiv och negativ hållbarhetsinformation

    Magister-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Handelshögskolan (from 2013)

    Författare :Axel Mörk; Nils Cider; [2023]
    Nyckelord :TBL; GRI; Legitimitetsstrategier; Skogsindustri; Balans;

    Sammanfattning : Denna studie undersöker hur nordiska skogsindustrier för verksamhetsåret 2021 redovisar hållbarhetsinformation i enlighet med Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards. Skogsindustrins hållbarhetsarbete och hållbarhetsredovisningar är högaktuellt och genomgår en stor förändring, där GRI kan vara ett hjälpande verktyg för harmonisering. LÄS MER
